Ivy's Story

Meet Ivy, one of our newest rescues from a breeding facility in New York. Ivy comes to us as a laid back, affectionate, eager - to - please, 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Ivy enjoys napping on the couch with her person and watching a wide range of PBS shows. Ivy does NOT like cats and becomes irritated with some dogs who get in her face. We will know more about her personality when she fully acclimates into her new life as a family pet. This beautiful girl is getting fully vetted in the middle of March and will then be available for adoption! As with all of our puppy mill dogs, Ivy will need a home with a secure fenced yard.

Dutch Country Animal Rescue - PA's Adoption Policy

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW AS IT WILL ANSWER MANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE!!! Our dogs rescued from puppy mills require a secure fenced in yard and another small dog as a companion. We find that puppy mill rescues do best in homes that meet these requirements. We are not a shelter and do not have a facility where you can come visit our available dogs. Our dogs are all in foster homes. If you see a specific dog you are interested in, please read the dog's profile. It will state where the dog is being fostered. We currently adopt in the states of NY, NJ, Eastern PA, and DE. We can not accept applications from other states at this time. We do transport our rescues to the locations listed above.
