Ivy's Story

Meet Ivy, a gentle and loving dog with a sweet soul and so much affection to give. She has experience living peacefully alongside chickens and cats, showing her adaptable and easygoing nature. Ivy thrives in a calm, understanding home and would do best with slow, thoughtful introductions to new people and animals so she can feel safe and build trust at her own pace. True to her breed, Ivy loves to spend as much time outside patrolling her territory as possible. She is a great guardian!

Ivy does have a history of resource guarding around food with both people and other animals, so she will need to be fed separately to ensure everyone stays comfortable and stress-free. With the right structure and a patient, caring family, Ivy will blossom into a loyal and devoted companion who brings warmth and love into your home.

Cheyenne Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
As Wyoming’s largest animal adoption agency, CAS has the widest selections of cats and dogs, rabbits, small mammals and more in Wyoming. Visit our shelter today, or visit Adoptable Cats, Adoptable Dogs or Working Cats to view pictures and profiles of all pets in need of homes! Visit our website to see available animals or visit the adoptable animals at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. We have three large dog adoption rooms, “cat alley” and critter space. While visiting the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, a CAS adoption counselor will help you find the pet who is the best match for your family and lifestyle. Once you find your match, a Cheyenne Animal Shelter staff person will begin the adoption process, which often takes as little as an hour. Once you have reviewed all adoption paperwork, you’ll pay the adoption fee. Then, you’re ready to take home your new furry family member.
