Ivory Nest's Story

Ivory Nest A183499
34 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old

-This adorable pup is ready to GO the second that leash comes out--definitely a "harness recommended" kind of guy with places to be and zero time to waste. Jogging buddy??? Maybe!

-In the yard, it was all about the toys! He's a total play enthusiast who loves bringing them over to recruit you into the fun... or occasionally challenge you to a spirited game of keep-away.

-Balls are his absolute favorite, but he did give a stuffie a quick moment in the spotlight too. He's great at keeping himself entertained when needed, but he'd much rather have you for a playmate!

-He's treat-motivated, knows how to sit, and takes snacks like a gentleman. He's also a fan of pets, belly rubs, and will sneak in a few kisses.

-This busy, playful guy is looking for an active home that can keep up with his energy and give him plenty of outlets to run, play, and thrive.

-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids

*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**

*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30

**1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
