Ivan's Story

Ivan. Gosh, you are stunning. Looks, personality, Ivan’s got it all! To be in Ivan’s company is like hitting the lottery. His gorgeous face makes you want to keep staring at him, his affectionate, silly, goofy personality sucks you in. You are completely entranced. First thing Ivan wants to do when he sees you is hug you. He stretches his arms and clings onto your waist. Sometimes, he leans into you and immediately offers himself up for pets :) Outside, Ivan runs like he is trying to compete with Usain. (A home with an enclosed yard is preferred). He has the goofiest run. It is hard to explain but it is almost like he is trying to insert play bows in between running. He also likes to run in a big circle with you in it. Sometimes, he suddenly stops in the middle of a high-speed run to make an impromptu play-bow stance, as if to say, c’mon, run with me! I pretend to chase, and he takes off with his joyful prances. Ivan isn’t much of a ball fetcher. He pretends to run after the ball but then makes an unexpected detour away from the ball. If you throw the ball over his head, he dodges it. It’s the cutest thing! I guess Ivan is not a fan of flying objects. Ivan isn’t much into toys. He prefers to engage with humans. I have never met a more affectionate and people loving Northern pup! <3. Ivan loves treats and takes them nicely.

Ivan is 2 years old, 50lb Samoyed mix. He is looking for a semi-active home where outside play time happens every day. Hikes, trials, even better! Kids, dogs, welcome.
