Itsy and Bitsy - Puppies's Story
These dogs are being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas or North Central Texas area.

NAME: Itsy and Bitsy
GENDER: Females (Will Be Spayed)
AGE: Both are about 3 months old (early Sept)
WEIGHT: Both are about 3 pounds (still growing)
DOGS/CATS: Good with other dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Should be fine with older, mature children (10 and older)

Meet Itsy & Bitsy, two adorable Chihuahua sisters who may be tiny, but they have BIG personalities and even bigger hearts! These little girls are playful, curious, smart, and incredibly loving. They adore toys, chewing on just about anything they can get their little mouths on, and—most importantly—being part of whatever their people are doing.

Both girls are doing very well with their potty training, although they are still young puppies and will need continued patience and consistency as they learn. They already know to come when their foster mom makes a clicking sound and are learning to sit, holding it for up to five seconds! They love belly rubs and cuddles, especially when they’re getting sleepy and ready to snuggle in for a cozy nap.

Itsy is the tiniest of the two, but there is A LOT packed into that little package! She has the cutest little tail that curls right up over her back and a spunky, happy personality that will make you smile. Itsy loves being up on your shoulder and is curious about absolutely everything. When she’s especially happy, she does the most adorable little circle dance! She has already figured out how to get herself onto the sofa—with a little help from your legs—and she’s perfectly willing to jump down from just about anything if you aren’t watching her. She’s definitely been the fearless leader when it comes to learning all about being a dog! Itsy tends to get carsick so if you’re looking for a traveling companion, she might not be a good fit

Bitsy is a little more mellow and thoughtful than her sister. She can be a bit shy at first and likes to take her time studying a new situation before deciding what she thinks about it. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. Bitsy absolutely loves having her ears gently brushed back while she’s being petted, and she enjoys going along for car rides and adventures. When she’s playing, she’ll often stop to come check in with you, and sometimes she’ll ask to be picked up for a little love before hopping back down to continue playing. She is just incredibly sweet.

Together, Itsy & Bitsy are a wonderful little pair—two playful sisters who love toys, belly rubs, cuddles, adventures, and having their people involved in their fun. They’re still learning and growing, but they are already showing what smart, loving little companions they can become.

Itsy and Bitsy were owner surrenders to CRT from an “unwanted litter”. Their vet work will be completed at the end of September and they will be available for adoption at that time. They are about 3 months old (end of August) and about 3 pounds each. They are still growing. They are a cream color with light tan highlights. They are very bonded and we would like to adopt them together. Reminder that while puppies are undeniably adorable, they also represent a long-term commitment. Small breed dogs often live 15-20 years, and we’re looking for a family that’s excited to love, guide and care for these puppies through every stage of life – from playful puppyhood to their senior years.

These tiny girls are looking for a family who will continue guiding them with patience, love, and lots of positive reinforcement—and who doesn’t mind having their hearts completely stolen by two adorable Chihuahua sisters.

Adoption Process:

Itsy and Bitsy are being fostered in the Dallas, Texas area. Our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/ Note: it works best when our application is filled out on a computer versus a phone or tablet. When it submits correctly, the system will send you a copy. Feel free to email us at DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you need help with the application.

Itsy and Bitsy will be spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. They will be ready to join a loving family in late September. We are taking applications now.

These dogs are a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and an adoption donation required. Their adoption donation is $700 for the pair ($350 adoption donation for each dog). All vet work is completed.

As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.

After filling out an adoption application (found at http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/), please email DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you are interested in this dog. Please be sure to read about our adoption process and then fill out an adoption application before emailing the contact person.
