Isaiah's Story

Meet Isaiah!

If you're looking for a small, but energetic companion whose absolutely favorite place in the world is your lap, look no further than Isaiah.

Isaiah was brought in with two other small breed dogs (who have already been adopted). He quickly found the shelter environment too stressful, so was moved to a foster home.

He is an active dog that will require daily exercise (beyond just a walk around the block). He does well on a long line, but would also love a fenced-in yard so he can really run free. Be warned, his small Terrier heritage tells him that every hole is meant to be explored, so be prepared to block off even the smallest passages.

He LOVES toys. Watching him wrestle, pounce, chew on, and chase his stuffies and balls will be your daily entertainment.

He is one smart cookie and has the tenacity his breed is known for! His new owner should be prepared to train with consistency or they might find themselves trained instead. He will work for toys or treats, so training is a breeze, in that respect. He is eager to please, but will need clear boundaries.

He takes his neighborhood watch duties seriously. However, he is amenable to being redirected.

If Isaiah sounds like your dream dog, put in an application and we'll arrange a meet and greet!

Male
1 year (appx.)
19 lbs

---------------------------------------------------
Adoption Hours: 11am-4pm every day
No appointments required

Disclaimer: Please only use our website (https://www.hshobart.org/adopt/adoptable-animals) to apply for pets.
