Isaac's Story
Meet Isaac

If you remember Maddie from our rescue, Isaac is her brother — the one we couldn’t take at the time. At Freedom First Rescue, we never leave family behind, and we are so excited to finally bring Isaac north to begin his new life. Isaac is eight months old and weighs about 30 pounds, making him a petite, compact boy with plenty of personality. He spent time in foster care in South Carolina before making his way up north, and he is now settling nicely into his foster home here.

We believe Isaac may be a Chihuahua and Hound mix, though like many of our southern dogs — our beloved “Heinz 57” pups — his exact blend is anyone’s guess. What we do know is that he is incredibly dog friendly and very social. He loves to play, wrestle, and run with other dogs and has that fun, youthful puppy energy. He is crate trained and picking up potty training very well with consistency and routine. While Isaac is not aggressive, he does not do well with cats, as he enjoys chasing and tackling them in play, so a cat-free home will be necessary.

Isaac would thrive in a home that can provide continued training, structure, and clear boundaries as he matures. He would do especially well with an active family willing to engage him in yard play, enrichment activities, and even the occasional hike. He is fully vetted and ready for a forever family who will give him the stability, guidance, and love he deserves. After waiting a little longer than his sister, Isaac is more than ready for his fresh start — and we know his perfect match is out there.

Adopt Isaac: www.freedomfirstrescue.com/isaac

NO APARTMENTS FOR ISAAC!
