Irwin's Story

Meet Irwin. This boy is an old-school sweetheart, and absolutely beautiful with his black-and-white-spotted coat. At a year old, he’s still a puppy in many ways and he needs someone to show him the ropes of this great big world! This big baby (and he is a BIG baby at 75lbs) will run and play as much as he can and then spend a lovely afternoon snoozing in his bed or maybe in a spot of sunlight.

Irwin has shared a home with another pup in the past, and he seems interested in making new dog friends, but he may need a bit of patience and slow introductions as he makes those new connections. If you’re looking for a friend through thick and thin, Irwin is your guy!

Irwin is available at the Red Poppy Adoptique, the satellite adoption facility for WCRAS. Come meet Irwin and foster or adopt him TODAY!

~~~~~
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals at any time during open hours.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.
Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on “Foster Questionnaire.”
Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours—giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We’ll see you soon at either location!
