He is still growing and will be a full size Aussie, and he will likely weigh over 40 pounds when he is full grown. Irwin arrived in rescue after being part of an accidental litter. He has been in a loving foster home since he was 10 weeks old. He is an active puppy that will need a family up for all things puppyhood brings - leash training, house training, socialization and learning that flip flops are for feet, not food. Aussies are very smart and very active and need a family that will understand this, as well as their grooming needs. His foster mom says: Irwin is a handsome Australian Shepherd with a soft heart and an even softer spot for his people. He might be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a moment and you’ll see his true self shine through. Once he warms up, Irwin is all about love, attention, and sticking close to his favorite humans. Irwin enjoys being around older kids and thrives on companionship. He can get a bit vocal when he’s feeling unsure around new people, but with reassurance and a little patience, he settles in and shows just how sweet and affectionate he really is. At the end of the day, Irwin’s favorite place is right next to you, preferably on the couch, soaking up cuddles for as long as you’re willing to give them. He’s the perfect mix of gentle, loyal, and loving.<br/><br/>Irwin is up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped.<br/><br/>Irwin is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $525.
