Iris-Adventurous & sweet!'s Story

Iris is a fun-loving, outgoing, friendly girl with an adventurous spirit. While we don't know exactly what Iris' breed mix is, she seems to be a herding breed of some sort. These breeds are known for their smarts, their love for exercise and training, and loyalty to their owners. Iris would love a patient home that can give her an outlet for her smarts, a routine, and of course lots of cuddles and attention. She's such a friendly girl, who's been through a few homes in the last month to no fault of her own, and she still has a great attitude. Can you be Iris' forever person? Read more about her below:

-Only around 10 months old & weighs 30 pounds.
-She's a great medium size & won't get much larger
-Very smart girl who's eager to please. Knows her basic commands already!
-Can be jumpy at times, is easily redirected. Responds well to positive reinforcement.
-Can be cautious & shy of new people and places, or reactive to outside stimuli. Needs a slow approach and help building confidence. Warms up fairly quick, very playful once comfortable. Previous owner noted she can be more nervous with men.
-Loves playing with toys, daily walks & exercise. Also loves to cuddle on the couch & has a 'chill side'
-Did okay with other dogs, was nervous at first but eventually started to play. Would probably do best with a calmer playmate
-Suggested for children age 8 & up due to nervousness; we have no history of how she does with children
-No background on how she does with cats.
-Spayed, vaccinated & microchipped

Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible.
