Iris

Iris is a 1 year old German Shepherd / Catahoula mix who was found running the streets of rural Louisiana. She found herelf at a high kill shelter. We were asked to take her in. Once transport was arranged, she arrived in Indiana. Just a few days before her spay appointment, she blossomed with a big belly overnight . She was expecting pups. After a visit to the vet and an x-ray, we were told to expect a large litter. Well on April 21st by C-secton Iris had 14 pups. She was not fond of motherhood as she is young and having a C-section she did not realize they were hers. So after 4 weeks she decided she was no longer going to play mom. We have since separated her. She is now looking for a home of her own. She is spayed, up to date on shots, rabies, dewormed, on heartworm prevention and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350
