Iris's Story

Iris is a sweet, gentle girl with a whole lot of love to hand out. Before coming into WAAL’S care, her person was experiencing homelessness, but Iris was clearly cared for—she was friendly right away and quickly figured out the comforts of indoor life. Her favorite things? Sticking close to her people, snuggle sessions, hugs, and (most importantly) belly rubs. Cats don’t bother her, she plays nicely with other dogs, and she’s always up for some toy time. Even when the other dogs get noisy, Iris tends to stay pretty quiet. She’s getting more comfortable on the leash, goes into her kennel like a champ, and shows no signs of food issues. In short: Iris is one very sweet girl. To meet her, fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt. ...
