Inky's Story
Meet Inky, a 4 month-old Borador (Border Collie/Lab mix) with a soft heart, a gentle personality, and the sweetest “big brother” energy.

At around 16–18 lbs right now, the vet estimates he’ll grow into the 40–45 lb range full grown, making him a great medium-sized companion.

Inky is one of those puppies that just makes you feel good to be around. He loves to play, especially with his beloved Lamb Chop toy, but he’s also incredibly people-focused and happiest when he’s close to his humans. He loves being held, leans right into cuddles and scratches, and would be perfectly content snuggled beside you after a fun day of adventures.

While he absolutely enjoys puppy playtime, Inky also has a gentle, thoughtful side that really stands out. When his brother Wags got stuck at the top of the stairs and didn’t know how to get back down, Inky stayed right there with him trying to help show him the way. He’s the kind of puppy who plays hard but also looks out for his buddies.

Inky has been very well socialized in foster care and has already experienced so much for such a young puppy. He’s attended adoption events, puppy yoga, and even spent time at a puppy park during a convention. Everywhere he goes, he shows what a kind, confident, and well-adjusted puppy he is. He happily approaches people for pets, cuddles in laps, and plays wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes.

He’d make an amazing family companion, adventure buddy, or best friend for someone looking for a lovable Lab mix with both playful energy and a sweet, comforting nature.

Medical Information:
• Neutered
• Up to date on puppy vaccinations
• Microchipped
• Fecal tested
• Up to date on heartworm and flea prevention

Adoption Fee: $495
This fee includes all veterinary care, grooming, and supplies, and helps support our ongoing rescue efforts for other dogs in need. As a small nonprofit, Barkin Dogs Rescue relies on adoption fees to continue providing care and taking in dogs who need us most.

Interested in adopting Inky?
Contact/text Elise at 816-898-5646 or email BarkinDogs1@aol.com
