My independent streak means I can entertain myself, but I love a good romp with my fellow dogs. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be the best of friends. I should mention, I'm not the best fit for a home with cats or kids, I just need a bit more peace and quiet. Why should you adopt me? She has a real knack for fence climbing and jumping. For her safety, we kindly insist on a secure 6 ft. fence. Please bear in mind that 6 ft. chain-link fences won't do the trick, as she effortlessly finds her way out. We might even need to get a bit creative with fence modifications to create a secure play area where she can't perform her magic escape act.<br/><br/>Indy is a beautiful shepherd mix, and her adventure began when she was rescued from Fayette County Animal Control, along with her adorable puppies (Adria, Ameerah, Autumn, Chima, Jamie, Kyland, & Pooch). Finding her forever home will require a very patient soul. Even after spending a lot of time with us, she still gets a bit jittery around new faces, often plotting her great escape. As an extra note, we recommend homes without young children to ensure the perfect match. <br/><br/>Indy's date of birth is 8/24/2020 and she weighs about 63 pounds.<br/><br/>All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. This fee includes:<br/><br/>• Extensive medical health check by a licensed veterinarian<br/>• Up to date on all vaccinations. Puppies/kittens may require some additional booster shots which we will pay for if coordinated through us and our veterinarian<br/>• Spayed/Neutered<br/>• Microchipped<br/>• 30 day pet health guarantee for local adoptions only (*Must follow process provided at time of adoption.)<br/>• 30 day money back guarantee<br/><br/>Our goal is to find loving homes for all our rescued animals. Because we care about our rescues and their future, some animals have certain new family requirements before they can be released to their new home. Requirements for adoption could include the following:<br/><br/>• Fenced yard (required for most dogs) and home inspection for all animals; we will complete an onsite fence/home check prior to completing the adoption if possible. *Fenced yard required. (We do not accept invisible fences.)<br/>• Veterinary reference for previous pet owners (must be/have been current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention)<br/>• If no previous veterinary history, purchase of 3 months of heartworm prevention<br/>• If renting, verification with Landlord on acceptability of pets and any restrictions, pet deposit, etc.<br/>• Meet and greet with current pets to ensure compatibility.<br/><br/>Note: We will call your current/previous veterinarian to verify that you have a history of providing vaccinations and heartworm prevention for your animal(s).
