Meet Indy. This cutie pie is only 5 months old. He was named Indy due to being born on Independence Day! He was born in a commercial breeding facility and sold at auction at 3 1/2 months old. Due to being terrified of life in the 'real world,' we wound up getting him due to our rescue having tons of experience with shyer Shelties. He is making progress, but he will be a 'work in progress' for a while. Sometimes he is playful, and sometimes he is shy and wants to hide. He is more afraid of men than women. He is coming along with house training and needs work on leash training, too. He is a sweet and loving puppy that will sleep in bed with you. He loves to play with other dogs, so a home with a playful and socially friendly dog will be what we are looking for in a forever home for him. We also will require a securely fenced yard and a family who is not gone for a long time during the day. Due to his shyness, we are looking for an adult home or a home with children over the age of 10. He is being fostered in Little Rock, Arkansas, and adopter must drive there for the adoption. We will not do a long distance adoption.
