He stayed there over a two-week period waiting for his people to come back. He was attacked several times by three dogs from a nearby property; he continued to stay there and wait. SPAR provided for surgery to repair his wounds & he recovered beautifully.<br/><br/>NOTABLE TRAITS<br/>Smart<br/>Silly <br/>Loyal<br/>Sweet <br/>Funny<br/>Eager to learn<br/>Very well behaved with the vet.<br/>A lover not a fighter<br/>Friendly with everyone- people and dogs alike.<br/>Didn’t react to the vet’s office cat<br/>House trained<br/>confident<br/>Uses a doggie door<br/>? Indigo absolutely loves water! Swimming pools, the garden hose, mud puddles, etc. He’s known to stick his whole head down into mud puddles! Goofball!<br/>? He needs to be with people and/or other pets- has a hard time being alone. Poor boy can break into the most beautiful howl, sounds a little sad, and a lot DRAMATIC!<br/>? Knows “SIT”, follows direction well, and will greatly benefit from basic command training classes, and beyond.<br/>? Good on a leash. He gets really excited at first and might jump around & nip at the leash, though this should end if regular, daily walks occur.<br/>? Our current maximum adoption fee is $250. • The adoption fee includes many things that total much greater than $250. All SPAR dogs are spayed or neutered, receive all vaccinations (rabies, distemper, etc.), tested for heartworms using a 4DX test, provided with heartworm prevention, • To help us ensure the best forever-match between our rescues and adopters, we require the following: - Complete & submit an adoption application found here, on Petfinder. - Compatibility testing is done by SPAR to ensure the interested adopter's pets get along with our rescue. - Home visits are conducted prior to every adoption.
