INDIE’S HAPPILY-EVER-AFTER BEGINS…<br/><br/>Once upon a time, in Rochester, NY, there was a shy little dog named Indie. That’s me! <br/>When I first arrived in my foster home, everything felt so big and new. People were kind, but I wasn’t quite sure if I could trust them yet. I needed time, soft voices, and gentle hands to show me that I was safe. Little by little, I began to believe… and oh, what a wonderful discovery it has been! My life in a puppy mill had finally ended and now my new wonderful life was just beginning!<br/>Now, when my foster family comes home, I can’t help but wiggle with excitement, just because being with them makes me happy. One of my favorite things is standing in front of my foster dad and turning around so he knows it’s time to scoop me up. I’ve learned that snuggles are one of the very best parts of life. Curling up on the couch, stretching out in bed, or just resting nearby while my people laugh and talk—those are the moments I treasure most.<br/>I used to think the world outside was a little scary, but now I see it’s full of wonders. Bushes to sniff, rocks to explore, even friendly cats to greet! With each walk, I grow braver, and I love discovering new adventures with people who make me feel safe.<br/>But do you know what else makes me brave? Other dogs. My foster dog friends have taught me how to play chase in the yard, tug on toys, and even try out chasing balls. (Squeaky toys? Not for me! But give me a rag toy and I’m in heaven!) I would love a forever home with another pup who can be my friend, my teacher, and my playmate.<br/>My journey has been all about learning to trust, and I’ve learned something very important: once I give my heart, I give it fully. I’ll be loyal, affectionate, curious, and oh-so-snuggly. With a little patience, I’ll bloom into the sweetest companion, and I’ll love my forever family with everything I have.<br/>So here I am, Indie, waiting for the day my fairy tale truly begins. My perfect home is calm and kind, with another dog to keep me company and people who will let me keep learning at my own pace. I’m ready for my happily-ever-after… could it be with you? <br/>I am being fostered in Rochester, New York and that is where my adoption will take place.
