She’s a homebody at heart and would love to be your quiet, loyal companion through all your at-home adventures.<br/><br/>Indie is a 1 year old, 40lb Carolina Dog mix currently soaking up love at her foster home in Landrum, SC.<br/><br/>In foster care, Indie lives peacefully with two small dogs and two cats.. She’s crate trained, house trained, and eager to keep learning, especially if snacks are involved!<br/><br/>Indie is playful, curious, and full of personality. She’ll run joyful zoomies in the yard, splash around in water, and then happily curl up to relax with a bone or nap nearby. She’s the perfect mix of fun and mellow — independent yet affectionate in her own way.<br/><br/>Because of her rough start on the streets, Indie is scared and nervous in new environments. She’s not a “take me everywhere” kind of dog — no brewery outings or road trips required. What she truly needs is a patient, loving human with a securely fenced yard who will give her time to trust and thrive at home. It really only takes her 1-2 days to adjust to a new home! <br/><br/>Indie is the kind of dog who shines brightest in a calm, predictable routine. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.<br/><br/>From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.<br/><br/>Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting.
