Indie's Story
Indie is what happens when a tiny dachshund-type dog dreams of being a cartoon sidekick and wakes up absolutely perfect.

At just 9 weeks old and 5 pounds, Indie is a petite little merle mystery with soft gray-and-blue coloring and ears that refuse to obey the laws of physics. When she runs, they flap like she’s trying to take flight. When she hops, it’s less walking and more joyful bouncing, like she’s permanently excited to be here.

She is exceptionally dog-friendly, loves people, and has that rare puppy confidence that feels calm instead of chaotic. Indie plays beautifully with other dogs, takes comfort in their presence, and genuinely seems happiest when she has a canine buddy to follow around and learn from. Because of that, we’d really love to see her go into a home with another friendly dog.

Still very much a baby, Indie is learning the world with curiosity and trust — the kind of pup who makes you slow down just to watch her experience things for the first time. She’ll do best with someone who enjoys the simple stuff: laughing at tiny antics, appreciating a gentle personality, and letting a dog be a dog.

If you’re the kind of person who notices floppy ears, happy hops, and quiet moments of affection — Indie might already be your dog.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://petsave.formstack.com/forms/petsave_adoption_application

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
