Indiana's Story

Indiana is a 2-year-old, 47-pound Pit mix who we suspect was named after Indiana Jones because he has a true passion for adventure and excitement! He is an incredibly sweet boy with a lot of natural energy, but unfortunately, he is currently heartworm positive. In order to help him heal and prevent his condition from worsening, Indiana must stay calm and cannot exercise right now. Being cooped up in a shelter kennel while trying to suppress his playful spirit is incredibly tough for such a sweet dog. Once his treatment is completed, he will be able to live a life full of running, playing, and adventure again. For now, however, he is looking for a foster or forever family who can provide a quiet home and help him stay low-energy for the next few months while he recovers.

Indiana is the silliest, friendliest buddy who loves every person and dog he meets. He is bursting at the seams with love, so he sometimes has a hard time containing it as he wiggles his whole body with excitement. This guy is still in puppy mode, so he's looking for a family who can teach him the ropes and help him with his training.
