Igor's Story
Hi, I’m Igor — the puppy who likes to walk right beside you and see what the world looks like from there. I’m 5.5 months old, a Husky mix (my mom Sophie is still looking for her forever home too), and about 38 pounds of black‐and‐white sweetness. With one icy blue eye and markings that make people call me a “panda in disguise,” I tend to stand out in the best way.

I’m not the loudest or the fastest of my siblings, and I do have a bit of a vocal side when I have something important to say. I enjoy being playful with my brothers and sisters, but I also love staying close to my person while I explore new things. I’m great with other dogs, cats, and children, making me an easy fit for many different types of homes.

People say I have an intelligent, observant aura — the kind of pup who notices everything. If you do something even slightly unusual, I’ll probably give you a slow, curious once‐over while I figure out what you’re up to. I’m not just looking at you; I’m processing you. That’s part of my charm.

I’m also a true gentleman. I play beautifully with my four‐legged friends and I’m fair when it comes to toys, space, and attention. I enjoy the company of other dogs, but I’m just as happy spending time with my humans — I really value that bond. And once I’ve had my fill of playtime, my goofy side comes out. There’s something especially endearing about watching a “serious little panda” suddenly flop over for belly rubs or zoom around with silly puppy joy.

Training time is fun for me, especially when treats are involved — snacks are a very good reason to learn new things. I feel safest and happiest when someone I trust is nearby, and I’m the kind of pup who brings quiet companionship, soft loyalty, and a gentle Husky‐hearted sweetness everywhere I go.

If you’re looking for a dog who is as smart as he is sweet — a thoughtful, observant, slightly goofy “panda pup” with a heart full of love — I might be your perfect match.

Igor is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own.
