What is PAWS of Chinook’s adoption process?

We are looking for great homes for our dogs. Maybe your home? Our basic adoption process begins with a visit to our shelter. Our volunteers are happy to introduce you to any dog you'd like to meet. We require an adoption application to be filled out that describes your home situation and why you want to adopt. The application includes a number of questions that help us to get to know you, to determine your situation, and whether the dog would fit into that situation. Once the dog has been vaccinated, fixed, and checked by our vet, you and your new best friend can start your new life together! The adoption donation is currently $175.

Igloo is good with kids under the age of 5 and kids over the age of 5.

Is Igloo good with other animals?

Igloo is good with other dogs. It is not known if Igloo is good with cats.

When can I meet Igloo?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.

When can I adopt Igloo?

Time to adopt varies, but typically adoption organizations require an official application prior to adoption. If you’re a match, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.
