Iggy's Story

Why choose me?
I recognized beautiful Iggy right away. Her smile spread across her face, and I knew she was ready to come out and play. She picked out a toy from the tabletop, and it was time for fetch. Iggy raced for the toy round after round and brought it back almost every time. Afterwards, we relaxed in the shade, and Iggy enjoyed pets and gave me hugs. She's an energetic girl and needs a family who's prepared for an active dog. Her former adopter said Iggy is wonderful and easy to train, but they didn't have enough time to be with her as much as she needed. She's house trained and has been around kids and other dogs. Iggy is a sweet, good-natured girl who needs a family who enjoys playing and being outdoors as much as she does.

Iggy's coat and eyes catch your eye right away. She's stunning. Then, when her smile spreads across her face, you know you have a friend. Iggy is a happy, playful girl. Sparky was in the interaction pen next to us, and he and Iggy hit it off right away running along the fence together.

Her former owner said she's good with other dogs and gets used to new people fast. She's house and crate trained and has been around kids from five to 17 years old. Iggy is strong and needs someone who can handle her on a leash, but she loves being with people and is a sweet, good-natured girl.

You can read more about this dog and check out additional photos here: https://www.accgov.com/9482/Dogs

The adoption fees, shelter schedule, a description of the rescue and adoption process, and a list of included vetting can be found at https://athenspets.net/adoption-rescue-process.

This dog is available for adoption through Athens-Clarke County Animal Services, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA.
