Ida is a six month old female puppy. Since arriving in foster care, she has transformed into a healthy happy puppy who is finally getting the chance to experience what every young dog deserves: safety, comfort, routine and love. She's incredibly affectionate and loves being near her people. Whether you're working from home, relaxing on the porch or spending time outside, she's happiest when she's included. She adores blankets, loves to burrow into a cozy spot and is always up for a good cuddle.<br/><br/>Like any puppy, Ida has a playful and curious side. She enjoys toys, exploring her surroundings and being part of whatever is going on around her. One of her favorite places is the porch, where she's perfectly content to sit outside with her family and watch the world go by. For a young Weimaraner, Ida is wonderfully calm on a leash. She walks nicely beside her handler and makes walks enjoyable and relaxed. She's also proving to be a quick learner, already knowing how to sit and responding well to gentle guidance and routine.<br/><br/>Because of her difficult start in life, Ida is still building confidence. She can be a little jumpy when excited and is currently working through some separation anxiety. But she continues to make steady progress. She will thrive with a family that can provide structure, patience and consistency as she grows. She's nearly house-trained and does very well overall, with only the occasional accident when she get especially excited. We believe she would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog. She enjoys canine companionship and seems to take comfort in having a furry friend nearby.<br/><br/>Despite everything she's been through, she greets the world with an open heart and a desire to connect. More than anything, Ida wants to be loved. She has come so far already and is ready for a family of her own-one that will continue helping her grow while enjoying all the love, snuggles and companionship she has to offer!
