Husk's Story

Meet Husk!
Husk is a handsome 9-year-old senior Husky looking for a loving home to spend his golden years
This sweet boy has lived successfully with another female Husky and would do well with the right canine companion. However, Husk will need a cat-free home.
He enjoys his walks and is a great leash buddy! Husk did have TPLO surgery in 2022, and while he’s doing well, he currently favors his other leg—so he’s on light duty to keep him happy and healthy.
Despite that, Husk is still full of love and charm. He’s a gentle, affectionate guy who just wants a cozy place to call home
✨ Fun fact: Husk LOVES sardines!
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a sweet soul, Husk might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see for yourself!

By the way, Husk is neutered, microchipped, and current on all shots -- all ready for a new home.

For more information, please call Douglas County Animal Services (DCAS) at 775-782-9061. Or come meet me at the Douglas County Animal Shelter (please call first to make sure I'm still at the shelter). If you rent, you will be required to provide written approval from your landlord that you can have a dog. It needs to be specific, i.e. all dogs okay, no big dogs, specific breeds restricted, etc.
