Hunter — The Little Bunny‑Hopper With a Big Heart's Story
Meet Hunter — The Little Bunny‑Hopper With a Big Heart

Hunter is being fostered in the Houston, Texas area… but please don’t let geography be the thing that stands between this little boy and his future. Transport is easy, fast, and safe — and what matters most right now is that Hunter is seen. That someone looks at him and thinks, “He’s mine.”

Hunter is a 2½‑month‑old Chihuahua (maybe Chiweenie?) mix, a tiny cream‑colored sweetheart with a warm, sunny personality to match. At just over 5lbs now, he’s the perfect travel buddy, lap companion, and all‑around snuggle expert. He’ll likely grow to a very manageable 20–22lbs, keeping all that charm in a perfectly portable size.

💛 What Makes Hunter So Special

- Once he feels safe, he blossoms — chasing balls, rolling over for belly rubs, and giving the sweetest neck‑nuzzle hugs.

- Family‑friendly and adored by kids.

- Medium energy: he loves playtime and puppy hops after toys.

- When he’s let into the yard, he gets the happiest zoomies you’ve ever seen.

- He LOVES to play and will happily entertain himself with sticks, balls, or anything fun he can find — hopping around like a bunny. This guy is ready for Easter.

- His breed mix typically enjoys a long lifespan (14–16 years), making him a wonderful long‑term companion.

- he will be microchipped soon and is up‑to‑date on vaccinations.

- Because he’s still a baby, he is not yet neutered — Hunter must be neutered before he is 1 year old. Once your vet completes the procedure, we’ll provide a $100 rebate.

🏡 Hunter’s Ideal Home

Hunter would thrive with:
- A family who has time, love, and patience for a growing puppy

- A fenced‑in yard for zoomies, exploring, and sunshine

- A dog sibling would be a bonus, but he’s perfectly happy being your one and only

This loyal, affectionate little Chi-mix is ready to grow up with his people and share a lifetime of adventures.

Hunter is ready to melt your heart — and he’ll happily curl up in your lap while he does it.

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means he is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.

Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $395 plus $30 for a health certificate and $250 for transport.

Please complete the application on this link:

https://forms.gle/FKSMBuoGTujaTkun8

Or email sandra.ttr.tx@gmail.com for a link to the application.

Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet him.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
