HUNTER's Story

Meet Hunter, the sweet, energetic and fun-loving pup who’s ready to be part of your life! This boy is full of energy and is hoping to find a home with active people who will enjoy his lively spirit and provide him with a lot of exercise and stimulation. At the same time, his new home must also have limits and boundaries.

Hunter is a 1 year old, 45 lb Springer Spaniel. He’s super smart and knows many commands: sit, stay, come, down, heel, leave it, and no jump. He walks well on a leash, loves to run, is housebroken and crate-trained. He has all the basics down pat! With his very playful personality and eagerness to please, he is sure to be a wonderful addition to the right home – one that will provide boundaries and structure. This will allow him to thrive.

Experience with Spaniels and/or large breeds is preferred. Hunter needs to be the only pet in a home without children. Could you be the one to offer him the structure, love, and guidance he needs? If you are interested in Hunter, please fill out the JRR APPLICATION.

Jet's Rehab Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Our Process Congratulations on taking the first step in providing a home for a wonderful and deserving dog! In order to ensure a smooth transition, we will follow the process outlined below: We will review your application thoroughly and if your situation is a good fit for the dog you are interested in, we will follow-up with any additional questions. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meeting between the dog you are interested in and the people (and pets) that will be interacting most with him/her. We will ask you to contact us the day after the meeting to confirm that everyone agrees the dog is a good fit for your home (we require a day to give everyone time to discuss all details). If everyone agrees, we will check references and perform a vet check and home visit. This can typically take several days, or longer. Once everything is confirmed, we will bring the dog to your home and either finalize the foster/adoption or begin a trial period. If the dog turns out to not be the best fit after all, we will suggest other dogs who might be a better match! There are often multiple people going through this process for the same dog simultaneously. In this case, the situation that is the best fit for the dog will be chosen. Our adoption fees are used to cover a portion of the training and medical expenses the dog has received while in our care. Your new family member will have received appropriate training, spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, flea and tick treatment, and he/she will be microchipped. WE GENERALLY SERVE THE BUFFALO, ROCHESTER, AND SYRACUSE NEW YORK AREAS. SOME DOGS ARE DESIGNATED TO ONLY BE ADOPTED TO ONE OR TWO OF THESE AREAS AND CANNOT BE ADOPTED TO OTHER LOCATIONS. Thank you!
