HUNTER's Story

Meet Hunter — The “Senior” Who Clearly Didn’t Get the Memo Hunter is an 11-year-old neutered German Shepherd mix... or at least that’s what his paperwork says. Honestly, we’re all a little suspicious because this guy is way too spry to be a senior. If this is what 11 looks like, we’d all like whatever he’s having. Hunter is a curious explorer at heart and loves to take his time sniffing the world like he’s gathering important neighborhood updates. He’s also got plenty to say about life—this vocal boy has opinions, and he’s not afraid to share them. Whether he’s chatting about his walk, your snack choices, or the general state of things, you’ll never feel alone in a conversation with Hunter. Brains? He’s got those too. Hunter knows sit, shake, stay, come, and leave it like a total professional. He takes treats gently (a true gentleman) and is fairly easy to walk for his size—making him a great companion for strolls where you can both stop and smell the roses... and everything else. Hunter came to us due to a housing change, and his previous owner had described him as loving and loyal. Hunter is proof that age is just a number. If you’re looking for a wise, witty, slightly chatty best friend who still has plenty of pep in his step, Hunter is ready to keep up with you—and probably comment on your life choices along the way.
