Hunny's Story
Hunny is a sweet 1-year-old Yellow Lab with a gentle, people-loving personality. She knows sit, loves treats, takes them gently, and is easily redirected. Hunny may pull on leash when she sees people or other dogs, but she responds well when her handler gets her attention. She is incredibly affectionate and would much rather spend time with her people than worry about toys!

During her temperament evaluation, she calmly sought out more affection, allowed full-body handling without an issue, and was described as “totally fine” and submissive.Hunny also showed no concerning food or possession guarding behaviors. She allowed interaction with her food bowl and readily gave up a valued item during all three attempts. When meeting another dog, Hunny was initially a little overwhelmed and showed submissive behavior, but she became more comfortable after a few minutes. Her evaluation recommends slow introductions and low-key canine companions to help her feel comfortable.
Hunny will need a cat-free home. During her cat evaluation, she became very stiff and intensely focused on the cat and was difficult to redirect, resulting in a recommendation that she not live with cats.

Overall, Hunny is a sweet, gentle, affectionate young Lab who loves being close to people. With continued training, plenty of love, and the right canine introductions, this lovable girl is ready to become someone's devoted companion! You will absolutely fall head over heels for this girl!

Oconee County Animal Services
1171 Branch Rd, Bishop, GA
Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 12p-6p Sat 12p-4p Sun 12p-3p

Apply to adopt: https://www.oconeecounty.com/forms.aspx?FID=80
