For adoption Northern NJ:<br/><br/>Looking for a Velcro dog?<br/><br/>Hula is your girl! Can’t find her? Look down, she’s probably right there at your feet. Either weaving between your feet, or sitting there staring up at you adoringly with her big brown eyes, or standing on her hind legs trying to get your attention with a dance. <br/><br/>This sweetheart is about 2 years old and already had at least one litter of pups. She was found running in the street, and when a neighbor brought her home, the owner didn’t want her back. So she’s on to bigger better things and looking for a responsible home where she’s actually wanted. She’s said to be a maltipoo, is about 10lbs and seems to have a nonshedding coat that needs to be groomed regularly. She’s ok with most dogs but definitely more of a people person and may get possessive of your lap and not like to share the attention. She climbs baby gates and is a master escape artist, but does it all to get to you. She screams when crated especially if she knows you are there but does settle if left alone in one... but she may get you evicted from your apartment or a place with shared walls unless someone is home with her all the time. She was used to wee wee pads previously but will go outside if taken out as well. But expect some accidents especially if left alone. She prefers a home with someone home more often than not, and definitely wants to sleep in bed and climb on your couches so if you don’t like dogs on the furniture and right in your face she’s not for you. She gives the best hugs and kisses, and if she could find a way to climb inside your skin and meld herself to you permanently she would! <br/><br/>Email njwoof@cs.com to meet Hula in Northern NJ<br/><br/>Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
