~ A TRUE SURVIVOR READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME<br/>Huizapol is a brave soul with an incredible story of resilience. During a totally unexpected and severe storm on October 12, 2025, he was swept down the street by rushing water along with rocks, furniture and large objects, one of which unfortunately, cut his face and seriously injured his jaw. Taken away in a surge of water, uncontrolled, being hit by various objects – simply terrifying. As a result of the incident, Huizapol suffered a facial injury that caused a mandibular subluxation and a wound on the right side of his face. He was taken in for a full veterinary check-up, where he was given internal and external parasite treatments, as well as vitamins to help him regain strength after his time on the streets. He was also evaluated by a specialist for his jaw, who confirmed that the injury has healed very well. The only lasting effect is that he can’t open his mouth completely (yawning, for example), but this does not affect his daily life, comfort, or happiness. He eats normally, feels good, and enjoys life just like any other dog. The wound on his face has fully healed and is now only noticeable due to a small patch of missing hair. When Huizapol was found, he was extremely dirty, covered in mud, and very skinny from surviving on the streets as he was stray. <br/><br/>Huizapol is about 3.5 years old, weighs around 7.5 kilos, and is a handsome Cocker Spaniel/ Terrier mix.<br/><br/>Huizapol is proof that even after the storm, hope remains. He loves humans of all ages, adults, teenagers, and young children and is happy around everyone. He enjoys having visitors at his foster home, greeting them with a wagging tail and making them feel truly welcome. On his daily walks, which he absolutely loves, Huizapol enjoys saying hello to other dogs he meets and is not aggressive toward cats. Loud street noises don’t bother him at all, and he remains calm and confident during thunderstorms and fireworks. Huizapol also loves car rides, because to him they always mean one thing…… adventure! He is not possessive of food, toys, or his sleeping area and gladly shares them with his doggie pals. Huizapol is incredibly friendly, always wagging his tail, and constantly seeking affection and human connection.
