While his namesake was known for a lavish lifestyle, this Hugh is much simplerhe's just looking for a loving family, a cozy place to nap, and a few squeaky toys to keep him entertained.<br/><br/>As for his breed mix, his foster mom believes he may have some Plott Hound or Coonhound in his family tree, but that's simply our best guess. Whatever breeds contributed to this handsome boy, they created a puppy who is both sweet and incredibly smart.<br/><br/>Hugh has been very well socialized and does wonderfully with other dogs, children, and cats. While he enjoys people, he can occasionally be a little unsure of himself in new situations. Fortunately, he gains confidence quickly when he has other dogs around him. His foster family has noticed that he truly thrives with canine companionship, and because of that, we believe he would do best in a home with another friendly dog.<br/><br/>One of Hugh's biggest strengths is his willingness to learn. He is highly food motivated, catches on quickly, and has already made impressive progress with his training. He is kennel trained, mostly potty trained, and already knows how to use a dog door. For a puppy his age, he's off to an amazing start.<br/><br/>When he's not learning new things, Hugh enjoys spending time playing with his favorite crinkly toys and squeaky toys.
