Hudson - AVAILABLE's Story

Meet Hudson, the Comeback Kid with a Heart of Gold!

If resilience came wrapped in velvet, carried an enormous stuffed pickle, and wanted to sit directly on your lap, it would look a lot like Hudson.

Hudson came to Forgotten Dogs Rescue after being found injured on a highway median, and this incredible young guy has worked hard to get back on his feet. After surgery and some seriously impressive progress, he's getting stronger every day and is ready for his biggest milestone yet: finding his forever family!

His fosters describe him as a “goofy velvet pudding,” and honestly, we can't improve upon perfection. Hudson is unbelievably soft, ridiculously snuggly, and absolutely devoted to people. His preferred location is touching a human at all times, whether he's sitting in your lap, leaning against your legs, following you around the house, or attempting to become your personal living blanket. He loves meeting new people and seems to approach everyone with cartoon hearts in his eyes.

Hudson's goofy side is equally lovable. When excited, he'll grab the biggest stuffed toy he can find and proudly parade around with his treasure. He's still learning to use his back legs after his accident, so sometimes running turns into an adorable bunny hop. His enthusiasm can also get ahead of his feet, making this 60-pound “lap dog” a lovable bull in a china shop at times!

Hudson loves walks, neighborhood exploring, and saying hello to new friends. He's a great walking buddy who can get excited about squirrels but redirects easily. He also loves other dogs, reads their cues well, and enjoys everything from snuggling to a good romp. He'd be happy with a compatible canine friend or soaking up the attention himself.

Hudson has also done wonderfully with older, dog-savvy kids (7+) who won't mind his occasionally clumsy enthusiasm.

Because of his previous injuries, Hudson will need a family committed to supporting his ongoing physical needs while helping him enjoy life safely.

Hudson has already overcome so much without losing an ounce of his joy. He's a gentle, goofy, affectionate dreamboat with one mission: love his people with his whole heart.

Hudson is estimated to have been born in April 2025 and weighs 60 lbs. He is a pit bull type dog who has somehow emerged from his rough past with nothing but joy, trust, silliness, and an enormous amount of love to give! His comeback story is already pretty incredible. Now he just needs his happily ever after.

Hudson's adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

Fill out an adoption application for Hudson at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application
