Huckleberry AKA Huck's Story

Meet Huckleberry! Much like his namesake, this 13 year old 10 pound distinguished gentleman has been on some adventures. He was found as a stray wandering in a campground for many days but has clearly lived in a home. He's been fully vetted, is housebroken and is not destructive when left uncrated (crates are not his thing) and may or may not bark periodically when left alone (yorkies - amirite?). Huckleberry peacefully coexists with his doggy foster brother, they play occasionally and he politely greets other dogs on walks. We think he would be fine as an only dog or with another dog who will respect his boundaries.

Huckleberry is looking for a home where his humans are home more than not. He rarely leaves your side and once settled in, he will start seeking out attention. He will let you know when it's time for pets with a nudge to your hand!Huckleberry’s a bit of a slow burn as he’s adjusting, and we have seen him get more and more playful and even take to toys recently. He can be a little skittish if approached too quickly so a home with children over 10 would be best. Once Huckleberry is comfortable, he will ask to be picked up so he can give you hugs and kisses.

Are you ready to take Huckleberry on his next adventure? Apply now! www.befidosfriend.org
