Huck's Story

*Please reach out directly to us at info@desertwillow.org or apply on our website at www.desertwillow.org as contacting us through PetFinder does not always go through.*

Huck is around 1-2 years old, medium energy, and about 50lbs. He is a major snuggler and has been a quick learner! He is crate trained and walks well on leash. He enjoys playing, but is not super interested in toys. He doesn't shed much at all!

He LOVES kids and is gentle with babies. He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes! Huck is currently fostered with kids and dogs. Huck needs a home without cats.

Huck found himself roaming the streets of Lubbock, TX for weeks or even months. Huck was immediately a sweet boy, and it is clear that he has experienced some sort of trauma in the past as he is scared of men. He is not aggressive at all, he just tries to avoid them. His foster thinks that he would warm up to a man after time, but the man needs to be patient with him. With women and kids, he is readily a snuggly boy!

Huck is currently in Texas, but we want to bring him up to Wisconsin soon and transport can be easily arranged!
