Hubert's Story

Hi, I'm Hubert! I'm a big, hunky, 65-pound Pittie/Shepherd mix and I'm just over one year old. I've been working really hard on my manners, and I'm proud to say I'm fully house trained!

I am very food motivated and eager to please, which makes training a breeze because I will work hard to learn anything for a treat!

When I first arrived, I did cry a few nights in my kennel but once I knew my foster mama would come back each morning I settled down and sleep through the night! I do have to be coaxed into the kennel with a treat but my foster mama really believes with time and patience I can nail this task.

I am such a smart boy! I know how to sit, give both paws, down, and am working diligently to learn more each day! When I'm not playing, I love to curl up and snuggle for some head scratches and belly rubs.

I like to think I'm a pretty amazing pupper, and my foster family thinks so too. They're always telling me I'm a good boy. I do need a family who will be consistent with working on my manners, and a home with older kiddos would probably be best for me.

I love to explore, walk, and go on adventures! If sound like the goodest boy in the world, apply to meet me (Hubert) at www.buffalounderdogs.com/adopt

Buffalo Underdogs Rescue's Adoption Policy
After our dogs are listed for adoption, you can apply online for the dog you are interested in meeting. *Buffalo Underdogs Rescue does not operate on a “first come, first served” basis. Our primary concern is that the dogs in our care go to the home that is best suited for them.* The foster parent of the dog will view all of the applications that are submitted for their foster dog. They will select the applicants that seem to be the best fit and call their personal and vet references. If your application appears to be the best fit for their foster dog, they will then contact you to set up a meet and greet at your house. They will also discuss the adoption requirements during this initial call. *Note: All members of the family must be present at the meet and greet.* If all goes well at the meet and greet, and the foster and family feel that this is the best fit, arrangements will be made to complete the adoption. In order to adopt, you must have an appropriately sized collar (or harness, if required), leash and a dog tag with your telephone number.
