Hot Diggety Dog's Story

Still Waiting… and Still Full of Love Meet Hot Diggety Dog, a 2-year-old Black Lab with a heart as big as his wagging tail. This sweet boy has been in our care longer than any other dog or puppy, and while we can’t understand why, we know his perfect match is still out there. Hot Diggety Dog recently got the chance to leave for a week-long ā€œtest drive,ā€ but sadly returned because his test-driver realized they weren’t ready for the commitment of a full-time pet. Through it all, Hot Diggety Dog remains the same loving, hopeful pup who just wants a family to call his own. He’s a dream on a leash and loves going for walks, especially when there are new sights, smells, and friends to meet along the way. He’s also a total cuddlebug who believes kisses should be shared freely and ear scratches are one of life’s greatest joys. Give him a little affection and he’ll happily melt right into your arms. When playtime starts, his goofy side comes out! He loves toys, gets the zoomies, and never says no to a tasty lamb treat. He enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well with his canine pals too. Hot Diggety Dog is said to be crate trained, though he was happiest snoozing in bed with his person. He has done well with women and cats. He can be unsure around men and children, which we believe comes from fear rather than aggression. With patience, understanding, and a loving home that helps him build confidence, this boy has so much potential to shine. He’s loyal, affectionate, and ready to give his whole heart to someone willing to give him a chance. If you’re looking for a best friend who will fill your home with love, laughter, and tail wags, Hot Diggety Dog is waiting for you.
