Hopper's Story

Hopper is a 1-year-old, 42 lb Lab mix with a truly inspiring story of resilience. This sweet boy had a very rough start-he was found as a stray in heartbreaking condition, so hungry he tried to eat anything he could just to survive. Sadly, that led to an intestinal obstruction that required surgery. But Hopper is a fighter! He has made a full recovery, gained healthy weight, and is now thriving in foster care.

Hopper can be a bit timid when first meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he forms a strong bond and will happily become your little shadow. He is crate trained, making great progress with housetraining, and is wonderfully gentle with other dogs of all sizes-even cats!

Because of his sensitive nature, Hopper would do best in a quieter home without young children, where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. He is very food motivated, eager to learn, and will thrive with a patient, loving family committed to helping him grow.

Hopper has come so far and is ready for a forever home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and secure

Apply Here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FCOH/Dog

*If you are viewing this profile on Petfinder, please note integration issues between our shelter program and Petfinder often occur and limit what you can see.
