Meet Hopper

Welcome Hopper! This handsome guy is about eight months old and weighs in at around 42 pounds. Because he’s still growing, we think that he should end up around 50-60 pounds when fully grown, but since this is just an estimate, anyone who adopts him should be okay with a little bit more or less.

Housebreaking, Crate-training, and Commands
Hopper is a smart guy! He is completely house trained and has impressed his foster mom with no accidents! She thinks he may have even been bell trained (how cool!). Hopper is also happy to go into his kennel. He only grumbles when he knows his friends are outside while he’s in there, but otherwise he settles. He is now working on his “kennel” command.

Behavior around other Dogs, Cats, and Kids
Though Hopper has not met any children or cats, he currently lives with three dogs and does well with them! He’s a big goofy guy and while a bit intimidated at first, is happy to play with canine pals of all sizes. He’s currently learning how to handle rejection when a friend doesn’t want to play (aren’t we all?) but does well when another dog gives him corrections. He likely would be a great dog park dog once he’s perfected his manners.

Behavior around People
Hopper loves people - from new friends to those he’s known forever. He LOVES attention and can be a bit needy when he really wants it from you. He’s currently working on giving his humans personal space because he LOVES to be suuuuuper close to you (and we love that about him!) You can find Hopper trying to channel his inner lap dog, especially when it’s time for a nap.

Exercise Needs
Our friend Hopper needs heavy duty play sessions. He wakes up ready to go and will spend time roughhousing with his canine foster brothers. He’d likely do well going to dog parks frequently, going for walks, or just getting to play with any pup siblings he gets to have! Play time is play time, but make no mistake - Hopper can nap just as hard.

There are stranger things afoot than how well Hopper would fit in your home! Interested? Contact us today!

All In-State Applications will be considered with some preference given to more Local Applications. WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING OUT OF STATE APPLICATIONS.
