Hope's Story

Hi, I’m HOPE, and boy do I hope you’ll give me a chance. I’m a 2ISH year old, 52 lb male jindo/retriever mix!

Not to brag, but my foster mama has fostered 12+ dogs and says I'm the easiest one yet! I have a sunny disposition and am a very calm, gentle and loving boy. I love to greet my people with soft kisses and a warm doggy smile. Some people even say I give off a soothing energy and might make for an awesome emotional support dog if given the proper training!
Plus, I have a silly side! My favorite thing to do (besides hang out with you!) is to roll around in the grass. It so fun!

In the home, I'm a big time couch potato! But I do love taking walks and having playdates with my doggy pals! I do great with cats too!
I have been through a lot in my short life. I spent the first 1.5 years chained up in a filthy junk yard in South Korea. My “owner” finally surrendered me to Samson’s Sanctuary, and I was so excited to get the love and care I deserve! Now I'm thriving in my foster home, and I have HOPE that my furever family is out there!

Apply to adopt me today!

**We have adopted many dogs to out-of-area, state, and even international homes! We usually require that the approved applicants come to meet their new dog in Los Angeles and transport them home. Most of our out of area families make a fun road trip of it!
