Hoop's Story

Hoop was found wandering in a field in a rural town we help. He was taken to the shelter and we rescued him from euthanasia due to overcrowding. We were able to save him because a selfless foster brought him into her home. Hoop has been an absolute sweetheart since we rescued him, and he has completed his veterinary care. We hope he’ll find a forever home soon.

Hoop is a very affectionate boy, and he loves any attention he can get. He is in a foster home with other dogs of various sizes, and he does great with all of them. He has been sweet and gentle with children as young as 6. He has a laid back personality and will follow his person anywhere. Hoop is house trained, crate trained and leash trained.

Hoop is 1 year old and weighs 43 pounds. We think he’s a Boxer mix. He is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Hoop can arrive in Latham, New York on 4/11.
