Meet Honeysuckle—Honey, if you’re lucky enough to know her! ? <br/><br/>This sweet 40lb. 2-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound came to us from a rural shelter where life hadn’t been easy. She arrived quiet and unsure, but it was clear she was just waiting for someone to give her the chance to feel safe, loved, and understood. And now, she’s blossoming into the dog we always knew she could be. Honey is very shy at first, and she’ll need a little time to settle in—but once she trusts you, she becomes your shadow. She’ll follow you from room to room, always wanting to be close. There’s something so special about the way she leans into her people—it’s like she’s saying thank you for not giving up on her. Her favorite things — Soft stuffed toys that she treats like her babies ? She’ll carry them around the house, curl up with them in her bed, and keep them close to her. It’s heart-melting. Honey does best in a quiet home where someone is around often—she finds comfort in companionship and doesn’t love being alone. She’s still working on her leash skills and is still scared to walk on a leash, so she’ll need a securely fenced yard (no electric fences for this hound girl!) where she can safely run, sniff, and do her signature Hound zoomies when the joy hits. She thrives with other dogs and would love a confident canine friend to show her the ropes. She’s also open to meeting very respectful kids who understand she’s still building her confidence. Honey is soft, soulful, and ready for her forever. She just needs someone patient, kind, and willing to meet her where she is—because once you earn her trust, you’ll have the most loyal little shadow by your side. <br/><br/>Her adoption fee includes her spay, microchip and its registration, and her core vaccinations to bring him current. She has been started on monthly flea/tick/heart worm preventatives. <br/>? All vet care that is included with her adoption will be done at Pennridge Animal Hospital in Perkasie, PA and her adoption could require several visits to our hospital. <br/>?
