HONEYBUN's Story

Honeybun is exactly what her name suggests: sweet, joyful, and impossible not to smile around. Outside of the kennel, staff and volunteers describe her as an affectionate, happy girl who gets the zoomies the second she sees a leash because she is just that excited to spend time with people and explore the world. She has enjoyed hikes, nature walks, and car rides, and despite her bursts of excitement, she has also shown a softer, more timid side that makes her feel especially endearing. The combination of playful energy and gentle sweetness gives Honeybun a really lovable personality.

Like many dogs struggling with kennel stress, Honeybun can appear loud and overstimulated in her kennel, but once outside that environment she settles and becomes much easier to handle. Volunteers consistently describe her as very sweet, social, and fun to spend time with. She seems to genuinely enjoy adventures, movement, and being included, and she would likely thrive in a home where she can continue building confidence while getting regular exercise and affection. Honeybun feels like the kind of dog who would happily become someone’s loyal walking buddy by day and cuddly couch companion by night.

All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care.
