Honey Ham's Story

- Best described as a goofy potato - she likes to lie on the couch, but with her head hanging off it

- The perfect level of cuddle-bug; enjoys lying with her head or paw on you, but she doesn't need to live inside your skin

- A certified pillow stealer! Once she gets up on the bed she quickly snuggles up on your pillows and makes herself comfortable, but her foster family said if you pat the end of the bed she'll eventually give in and move

- If she's sleeping she's snoring, but it's so cute and funny that you can't even be annoyed - she's just a baby

- Enjoys Nylabones and ripping up plush toys

- Hops right in the car and typically just sits and stares out the window

- Smart gal who knows sit, shake, and lay down

- Likes peanut butter, whipped cream and really any treats

- Favorite pastimes are snoring on the couch and sighing at you while you put your shoes on to take her outside because you're taking too long

- When first going outside, she pulls while finding the perfect spot, but she typically eases up once she has had that first potty break

- Her foster family said she did pretty good with housetraining in their home and only had one accident; they said when she randomly gets up and looks at you, that's her cue that she needs to go outside

- Previous family said she has done well with kids

- Can be pretty uncomfortable and vocal around other dogs; needs to be the only dog in her home to set her up for success

- A little too interested in chasing cats, so she needs a home without them

- Overall, a really good girl who may be great for a first-time dog owner or someone older who's looking for a couch companion (she has a lot of experience in that area!)

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
