Honey's Story

Meet Honey!

Honey is a sweet, scruffy, low-key girl who enjoys the simple things in life - leisurely walks, sniffing in the yard, cozy naps, and spending time with her people. She has a gentle, laid-back lifestyle and would love a home where she can feel safe, settled, and loved.

Honey can be shy when meeting new people. She may bark and keep her distance at first, but give her a little time, patience (and maybe a tasty treat) and she'll begin to warm up. Once she feels more comfortable, she will allow you to pet her. She just needs the chance to build trust at her own pace.

Honey enjoys her walks and is lovely on leash, taking in all the interesting smells along the way. She has a lower energy level and is happy to enjoy a relaxed routine with plenty of downtime. Her days consist of breakfast, walks, naps, time in the yard, dinner, and settling in for a peaceful evening. She also rides well in the car and has no issues with being handled or petted once you are a trusted human.

Honey can live with other dogs with proper introductions. She was initially unsure when meeting her foster family's dogs and communicated clearly when she was startled. However with time and appropriate introductions, she has learned to coexist happily with them. She now sits alongside them and even runs and plays with her friends. A calm, compatible canine companion could be a wonderful addition to her furever home.

Honey is still learning the ropes and would benefit from some help with basic commands and building confidence when left alone. She can struggle with separation anxiety, so a home where someone is around much of the day would be ideal. Retirees, people who work from home, or families with flexible schedules could be a great match.

Honey isn't looking for a busy, on-the-go lifestyle. She's looking for a patient person who will give her time to blossom, a cozy place to nap, sniff-filled walks, and the comfort of knowing she's finally home.

If you're looking for a quiet companion to share life's little moments with, Honey might just be your girl.

Location: Toronto ON

Age: 2

Weight: 22 pounds

Female
Please visit our website www.fullcirclerescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see our other available dogs.
