Honey 's Story
Meet 1-year-old Honey! 🍯

Honey is just about as easy as they come. At only a year old, she’s already been an incredible mama, but now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby.
She is fully housebroken (no accidents), crates beautifully, and will let you know when she needs to go out. Honey is wonderful with other dogs, good with cats and has a naturally submissive, gentle personality that makes her such an easy addition to a home. She loves playing with our dog, happily chews on her bones and toys, and will follow you from room to room just to be near you.
In the house, she’s calm and content, happy to lay by your side while you work. Outside, she’s just as happy heading out for a long trail walk or adventure. She truly has that perfect balance of relaxed and active.

Honey is a little shy with new people and can be sensitive to quick movements, especially from kids, but her response is always to quietly move away or lay down in her crate. Once she feels safe, her personality really shines. She’s affectionate, incredibly sweet, and a total goofball. One of her cutest quirks is her “smile”, she will greet you at the door grinning her toothy grin, she will jump and stand when she’s excited, but without ever actually jumping on you or into you.

She has great manners and just wants to be near her people. She’s been loving sleeping on the kids’ beds while we read or curled up at our feet on the couch. She will sleep in her crate no problem but would love to be in bed with you, if given the chance.

Honey would do best in a patient and active home, that can give her all the love she deserves.

House breaking and potty training cannot be guaranteed: While a dog may be observed as housebroken, we cannot guarantee that accidents won’t occur during the transition to a new home. To ensure a smooth adjustment, we recommend establishing a consistent potty training routine to help create new habits and support their successful integration.

Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies up to 12 months are a minimum donation of $650, (dogs too young to be fixed will have an extra $200 deposit, refundable pending your spay/neuter agreement), 1 year and up are a minimum donation of $550, 7+ years are a minimum $450 donation 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs.
