Honey Bee's Story

Honey is about 1–1.5 years old, a beautiful red merle girl with a full tail and the softest fur. She weighs around 40 lbs, the perfect medium size for cuddling on the couch or heading out for a walk.

Honey came into rescue pregnant and went on to deliver 11 beautiful babies. She was an absolutely fantastic mom. Patient, attentive, and devoted to her pups. She truly earned her name because she is pure honey, incredibly sweet and people loving. Being close to her humans is her favorite place to be.

Honey is low to medium energy. She’s happy to relax on a dog bed or stretch out on the couch, but that easygoing nature doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy activity. She would make a fantastic walking partner! She’s great on leash and is even off-leash trained. She learned her name quickly and responds well to “Honey,” especially if there’s a treat involved.

And speaking of treats, Honey is very food motivated. She will absolutely find food if it’s left within reach, so counters and tables need to stay clear. As long as food isn’t easily accessible, she is house trained and does very well in the home.

Honey is also potty trained and crate trained, though she doesn’t require a crate if the environment is managed appropriately.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, easygoing companion who also enjoys getting out for walks and adventures, Honey is your girl. She’s done an amazing job raising her babies — now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby.

Fostered in Southeast, WI. To apply for her, visit www.ns4ar.org
