HONEY BEAR's Story

07/09/26 14:40 Needs rescue due to displaying FAS 3 in kennel, appearing as barrier reactivity towards other dogs in and out of kennel and frustrated barking in kennel. Would greatly benefit from rescue placement. 07/29/26 15:32 Honey Bear was excited for her morning adventure and jumped right
into the car! She calmly passed joggers, walkers, cyclists, and even an
ATV without any issues, completing a total of 31⁄2 miles with plenty
of water and snack breaks in the shade. Along the way, she even
encountered a classic car show and handled the extra noise and
activity like a true pro.
What to know about Honey Bear:
• Excellent car companion – Honey Bear loves adventures and
jumps right into the car. She enjoys riding along and taking in
the sights from the window.
• Treat-motivated and eager to learn – She loves treats and will
sit politely for them. Her food motivation makes her a great
candidate for continued training and learning new skills.
• Affectionate with people – Honey Bear adores people, gentle
pets, and cuddles. In fact, she occasionally forgets her size and
seems convinced she's a lap dog!
• Dog-reactive but making progress – Honey Bear is working on
her dog reactivity and would do best as the only dog in the
home. On walks and trails, she does well when given plenty of
space from other dogs and can comfortably enjoy her
surroundings without reacting. Three words to describe me:
Smart, Sweet and Curious 06/28/26 12:02 Honey-Bear is a sweet girl who is waiting for her furrever home. The shelter life is not for her and she has been showing signs of kennel stress. Honey-Bear needs time out of the shelter to decompress and learn that there more to life out of the shelter. 04/21/26 Looking for something sweet? Try Honey-Bear! This sweet 5 year old was here at the shelter back in 2022 and came back in late March. She loves to go for walks and is always excited to see her walking buddy. She has shown some reactivity towards other dogs so she would do best being your only best friend. But if your friends or family have dogs, make sure to introduce them slowly. Honey-Bear has been super friendly with people and will even come up to ask for pets. So if you're looking for some sweetness in your life, come in and meet Honey-Bear today!
