Honey's Story
The ? Meet Honey — the sweetest little fighter! ?

Honey is a 5-month-old Golden Retriever who came to Fureverable Rescue after being surrendered by her breeder simply for being a little different. When she arrived, she was shy and unsure of the world she had likely only known life outdoors. But with love and patience, she has blossomed into a bright, playful girl discovering just how good life can be.

Honey was diagnosed with hydrocephalus (born with water on the brain) but the amazing news is that her condition doesn’t affect her daily life and does not pose any future health concerns according to her veterinary team. She’s happy, active, and full of curiosity… nothing slows this sweetheart down!

In her foster home, Honey is thriving. She adores people (kids included!) and is very dog-friendly. She would do best with another confident dog in the home because she takes comfort in following their lead and gains confidence from their presence. She’s gentle and respectful with other pups . Shes the perfect little companion.

Honey’s ideal home is somewhere quieter — suburban or rural — as loud city sounds can still be a bit spooky. She’s not overly high-energy: she loves a good game of fetch or hilarious zoomies, but she’s just as thrilled to cuddle up beside you while you relax or work. Her goofy toy-tossing antics will keep you smiling all day!

She’s crate trained, sleeps wonderfully through the night, and is doing great with house training (especially when treats are involved — they are her absolute fave!). On walks, she’s bravest when following a canine buddy and is gaining confidence every day. When left alone, she calmly relaxes in her crate with her toys.

Honey is pure sunshine, so gentle, silly, and endlessly loving. She’s ready to find the family who will celebrate her uniqueness and give her all the love she’s always deserved. ?

?
