Holstein's Story

As a youngster I was seen running scared along the riverbed and easements along busy roads and the golf course. I would run as soon as humans were in sight. Once humanely trapped it was discovered I was a baby (maybe 6months). I had clearly not had a lot of positive human experience and shut down after caught. It took me weeks to interact and eventually I started to participate in life. They laugh and call me Tigger. I stalk and pounce. When there is a toy I crouch then jump. When it's time to go out, I do the doggie down and leap to be leashed. I am still learning my size and boundaries. I play well with my housemate but am unpredictably triggered by various dogs because I'm insecure so would do best in an only dog home and with handlers that understand that behavior. I love my toys, self entertiain and always try to take one on my walks. I am learning to embrace the world outside my home and trying to enjoy the outings to the market and mall. If moving I do well but still struggle with sitting in chaos so please be patient. I have a lot of typical dane goofy behavior and promise to make you laugh and smile. I've spent a long time working foward the better me and am ready for the next step with someone forever beside me.

More information
Good with cats: No
Good with kids: 10+ (due to size and not overly confident)

Personality:
- Nervous with new situations but has come a long way.
- He's very self entertained with all toys
- Loves to sleep on any and all beds, including yours :)

Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.
